BFS Incubator Programme, Cancellation & Refund Policy

This policy applies to all purchases of the Black Founders Studio Incubator Programme, referred to in this policy as “the Programme”, for every cohort.

In this policy:

• “You” means the person who enrols.
• “We” or “us” means Black Founders Studio CIC.
• “Your purchase date” means the date you complete payment or arrange a payment plan.
• “Your cohort start date” means the start date of the cohort you enrol on, as stated at the time of purchase.

Because you buy online, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you have the right to cancel within 14 days of your purchase date and receive a refund of the Programme fee, subject to the deductions in sections 4 and 5.

To cancel, email info@blackfoundersstudio.com within the 14-day period. See section 7 for the information to include.

Once the 14-day cooling-off period has ended, the Programme fee is non-refundable.

The Vendor & Manufacturer Directory is a digital resource included with the Programme and made available to every enrolled member in the BFS community on Circle immediately upon enrolment. It has a stated value of £150.

Because the Directory is digital content supplied to you straight away, you will be asked to tick a box at checkout acknowledging:

• That the Directory is included with the Programme and made available to you immediately.
• That you consent to receiving it before the end of your 14-day cooling-off period.
• That you understand you lose the right to a refund in respect of the Directory once it has been made available.

If your cohort begins within your 14-day cooling-off period and you ask us to start providing the Programme before that period ends, you expressly consent to this.

If you then cancel within the cooling-off period, we will refund the Programme fee after deducting:

• A proportionate amount for the Programme sessions and services already provided.
• The £150 stated value of the Vendor & Manufacturer Directory where it has been made available to you.

If you paid through a payment plan, such as Klarna, Clearpay or PayPal, any refund due will be processed back through the same payment method.

Your agreement with the payment provider remains subject to that provider’s terms until the refund has been settled.

Email info@blackfoundersstudio.com stating:

• Your full name.
• Your order or payment reference.
• That you wish to cancel your purchase.

You may use the model wording below:

We will confirm receipt and process any refund due without undue delay, and within 14 days of cancellation.

If we cancel or reschedule a cohort, you will be offered either:

• A transfer to another cohort.
• A full refund of the Programme fee.

After the cooling-off period, we cannot refund the Programme fee for non-attendance, partial attendance or failure to complete the Programme.

We may update this policy from time to time. The version in force on your purchase date is the version that applies to you.
